IP Capybara ("the App") is developed and operated by Anastasiia Dkan. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information the App Processes

To provide network diagnostics features, the App may process:

• Your current public IP address
• Connection type (Wi-Fi or mobile data), latency results, speed test results, DNS lookup results, network event history, IP geolocation details
• User-provided custom servers, endpoints, labels, and preferences — stored locally on your device
• Onboarding selections, reminder settings, and other configuration — stored locally on your device
• Subscription and purchase status via Apple's StoreKit (no payment card data is received by us)

2. Information Stored on Your Device

IP Capybara primarily stores data locally: onboarding preferences, ping presets, speed and ping history, connection logs, reminder preferences, and local app settings. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect your name, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, messages, or payment card details. The App does not require account creation.

4. Public IP and Geolocation

The App may request your public IP and approximate geolocation through third-party network services to provide diagnostic features. This is network-based (not GPS) and is approximate only.

5. Notifications

IP Capybara may schedule local notifications if you enable them. These are generated entirely on-device — not sent from our servers. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscription processing and billing are managed entirely by Apple. We use StoreKit only to verify access status. For details on how Apple handles purchase data, refer to Apple's privacy documentation.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with third-party services to retrieve public IP data or estimate IP-based geolocation, and Apple services (StoreKit, UserNotifications). We do not control the independent privacy practices of third-party services.

8. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it within the App, reset the App's settings, or remove the App. Some history may be removed automatically per feature limits.

9. Children's Privacy

IP Capybara is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.

By downloading or using IP Capybara ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Anastasiia Dkan ("Developer"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. License

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Permitted Use

You may use IP Capybara to:

• Diagnose your own network connections and performance
• Check your public IP address and network details
• Run speed tests, ping tests, and DNS lookups for personal use

4. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to conduct unauthorized network scanning or intrusion testing on networks you do not own
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
• Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App to any third party

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

The App may offer in-app subscriptions processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partially used subscription periods except as required by applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Network diagnostic results are informational only and may not reflect real-time conditions with full accuracy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code in the App are the property of Anastasiia Dkan and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use the App's name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date accordingly.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through the appropriate legal jurisdiction.
